Day 4 Recap in Florida for the Stars

Game 1:
Ten Hits Not Enough For Post 400 Stars To Overtake Loomis Chaffee.
 
Scorekeepers were kept busy today during a high-scoring contest between Loomis Chaffee and Post 400 Stars where Post 400 Stars lost 10-6.
 
Despite the loss, Post 400 Stars did collect ten hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Loomis Chaffee had five hits on the way to victory.
 
In the first inning, Post 400 Stars got their offense started.  Andre Werk doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.
 
In the bottom of the second inning, Loomis Chaffee tied things up at two.  #36 drew a walk, scoring one run.
 
Loomis Chaffee pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning.  In the third Logan Sullivan threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Loomis Chaffee, #16 drew a walk, scoring one run, and #24 singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.
 
Loomis Chaffee scored four runs in the fifth inning.  Loomis Chaffee offense in the inning was led by #4 and #36, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
 
#23 was on the hill for Loomis Chaffee. The fireballer lasted three innings, allowing one hit and two runs while striking out eight.
 
Sullivan started the game for Post 400 Stars. Sullivan went two and a third innings, allowing six runs on three hits and striking out one.  Ashton Rinas threw three and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
 
Post 400 Stars racked up ten hits on the day.  Caleb Christianson, Gunnar Majerus, Werk, and Chayton Senn each racked up multiple hits for Post 400 Stars.  Christianson went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Post 400 Stars in hits.  Post 400 Stars was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Matthew Bryant had the most chances in the field with four.
 
Loomis Chaffee collected five hits on the day.  #24 and #4 each collected multiple hits for Loomis Chaffee.  Loomis Chaffee tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. #16 led the way with two.
 
 
Game 2:
Colby of Post 400 Stars 18U Shuts Out Middlesex School.
 
Colby Hanson didn't allow a single run against Middlesex School, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Post 400 Stars to a 16-0 victory on Thursday.
 
Post 400 Stars secured the victory thanks to 12 runs in the third inning.  Post 400 Stars big inning was driven by an error on a ball put in play by Cayden Neuharth, Matthew Bryant, and Jackson Amerman, walks by Kolby Nissen and Caleb Christianson, triples by Chayton Senn and Nissen, and a double by Logan Sullivan.
 
Post 400 Stars scored 12 runs in the third inning.  Sullivan, Neuharth, Nissen, Christianson, Bryant, and  Senn all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
 
One bright spot for Middlesex School was a single by #4 in the second inning.
 
Hanson earned the win for Post 400 Stars. The pitcher went five innings, allowing zero runs on four hits, striking out six and walking one.
 
#17 started the game for Middlesex School. The hurler went two innings, allowing ten runs on four hits and striking out one.  #1 and #5 entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two and a third innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively.
 
Senn led Post 400 Stars with two hits in three at bats.  Post 400 Stars was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Neuharth had the most chances in the field with six.
 
#4 went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Middlesex School in hits.
