Astros Get Two Wins On Friday




Game 1 - Pitching By Joseph Gould Shuts Out St .Louis Priory, Fargo Post 400 Astros Takes The Win

Joseph Gould had all the right stuff on Friday for Fargo Post 400 Astros, allowing zero runs and besting St. Louis Priory JV by a score of 12-0
 
Fargo Post 400 Astros secured the victory thanks to nine runs in the third inning.  The offensive firepower by Fargo Post 400 Astros was led by Ashton Rinas, Malachi Werremeyer, Caleb Christianson, Jack Demers, Nicholas Hasbargen, and  Demarion Semanko, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
 
Fargo Post 400 Astros fired up the offense in the first inning, when Jackson Amerman tripled on a 3-0 count, scoring one run.
 
Fargo Post 400 Astros notched nine runs in the third inning.  Fargo Post 400 Astros's big inning was driven by singles by Werremeyer, Christianson, Semanko, and Amerman, an error on a ball put in play by Rinas, Hasbargen, and Rinas, and  by Demers.
 
A single by #12 in the third inning was a positive for St. Louis Priory JV.
 
Gould was on the mound for Fargo Post 400 Astros. The lefthander surrendered zero runs on two hits over five innings, striking out three and walking one.
 
#20 was on the pitcher's mound for St. Louis Priory JV. The pitcher allowed three hits and two runs over one inning, striking out one and walking zero.  #42 threw three innings in relief.
 
Fargo Post 400 Astros collected nine hits on the day.  Amerman, Semanko, and Andre Werk each racked up multiple hits for Fargo Post 400 Astros.  Werk, Semanko, and Amerman each collected two hits to lead Fargo Post 400 Astros.  Fargo Post 400 Astros stole 11 bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Amerman led the way with four.  Fargo Post 400 Astros didn't commit a single error in the field. Werk had the most chances in the field with three.
 
Game 2 - Fargo Post 400 Astros Defeats Loomis Chaffee

Even though Fargo Post 400 Astros gave up four runs in the fourth inning, they still defeated Loomis Chaffee JV 14-4 on Saturday.  Loomis Chaffee JV batters contributing to the big inning included #8, #1, and #2, all driving in runs in the frame.
 
Fargo Post 400 Astros got on the board in the first inning when Andre Werk doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
 
Fargo Post 400 Astros put up seven runs in the second inning.  The big inning was thanks to singles by Werk, Cayden Neuharth, Caleb Christianson, and Owen Shannon and a walk by Nicholas Hasbargen.
 
Ashton Rinas was the winning pitcher for Fargo Post 400 Astros. Rinas lasted five innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out six.
 
Fargo Post 400 Astros saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game.  Werk and Christianson each collected multiple hits for Fargo Post 400 Astros.  Werk went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Fargo Post 400 Astros in hits.
 
#6 led Loomis Chaffee JV with two hits in two at bats.
