Post 400 Stars 18U Falls to Tabor After Fifth Inning Score

Post 400 Stars 18U stayed in it until the end, but Tabor pulled away late in a 12-4 victory on Sunday.  The game was tied at four with Tabor batting in the top of the fifth when an error scored one run for Tabor.

The Post 400 Stars 18U struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Tabor, giving up 12 runs.

Post 400 Stars 18U opened up scoring in the first inning when Andre Werk lined out, driving in a run.

Tabor evened things up at four in the top of the third inning.  #5's sac fly scored one run for Tabor.

After Tabor scored one run in the top of the second, Post 400 Stars 18U answered with one of their own.  Tabor scored when #11 doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.  Post 400 Stars 18U then answered when Colby Hanson doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Tabor scored four runs in the seventh inning.  Tabor batters contributing to the big inning included #14, #6, and #9, all driving in runs in the frame.

Logan Sullivan led things off on the mound for Post 400 Stars 18U. The righty lasted three innings, allowing four hits and four runs while striking out two.  Ashton Rinas and Hanson entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two innings and two innings respectively.

Hanson led Post 400 Stars 18U with two hits in three at bats.

#7 went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Tabor in hits.
