Sunday Recap in Rapid City

Post 400 Stars 18U Takes a Tough Blow From Rapid City Post 22
 
Post 400 Stars 18U had trouble keeping up with Rapid City Post 22 in a 16-5 loss on Sunday.
 
Post 400 Stars 18U fired up the offense in the first inning.  Jake Jaroszewski drew a walk, scoring one run.
 
Rapid City Post 22 pulled away for good with seven runs in the second inning.  In the second Wilson Kieffer drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored three runs for Rapid City Post 22, Peyton Tipton doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs, and Harrison Good doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
 
Brian Atkinson was the winning pitcher for Rapid City Post 22. The hurler went three innings, allowing four runs on five hits and striking out one.  #24 threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
 
Calvin Jungling took the loss for Post 400 Stars 18U. The pitcher allowed three hits and ten runs over two innings, striking out one.
 
Post 400 Stars 18U collected eight hits on the day.  Gunnar Majerus and Matthew Bryant each managed multiple hits for Post 400 Stars 18U.  Majerus went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Post 400 Stars 18U in hits.
 
Rapid City Post 22 racked up eight hits.  Good, Tipton, and Kieffer all collected multiple hits for Rapid City Post 22.  Good led Rapid City Post 22 with three hits in four at bats.
 
Post 400 Astros 17U Takes a Tough Blow From Rapid City Sliders 16U
 
Nothing came easy for Post 400 Astros 17U on Sunday, as they fell 10-0 to Rapid City Sliders 16U
 
A single by Cayden Neuharth in the fifth inning was a positive for Post 400 Astros 17U.
 
Jadon Mareno was credited with the victory for Rapid City Sliders 16U. The bulldog surrendered zero runs on one hit over six innings, striking out three and walking one.
 
Kane Mathiason was on the mound for Post 400 Astros 17U. The righthander surrendered seven runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out one.
 
Neuharth went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Post 400 Astros 17U in hits.
 
Rapid City Sliders 16U racked up nine hits on the day.  Jace Morgan, Lars Kieffer, and Carter Johnson all managed multiple hits for Rapid City Sliders 16U.  Rapid City Sliders 16U didn't commit a single error in the field. Hadley Burrus had  four chances in the field, the most on the team.
