Fargo Post 400 Grabs Four Wins From Watertown

Post 400 Stars Clinches Lead in Seventh Inning to Defeat Watertown, SD (GAME 1)
 
Post 400 Stars took the lead late in the game in a 13-10 victory over Watertown, SD on Saturday.  The game was tied at ten with the Stars batting in the top of the seventh when Colby Hanson singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
 
There was plenty of action on the basepaths as the Stars collected 13 hits and Watertown had ten.
 
Watertown took an early lead in the second inning when Treyton Himmerich drew a walk, scoring one run.
 
Watertown scored three runs in the second inning.  Watertown offense in the inning was led by Himmerich, Kaden Rylance, and Ryan Roby, who each had RBIs in the inning.
 
Chayton Senn was on the hill for Post 400. The pitcher allowed five hits and six runs over one and one-third innings, striking out one.
 
Jack Heesch toed the rubber for Watertown. The bulldog went four innings, allowing eight runs on seven hits and striking out four.  Chase Christianson threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.
 
The Stars launched two home runs on the day. Logan Sullivan went for the long ball in the fourth inning. Andre Werk had a four bagger in the first inning.
 
Post 400 totaled 13 hits.  Hanson, Matthew Bryant, Werk, Jack Demers, and Senn each collected multiple hits for 400.  Hanson went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Post 400 Stars 18U in hits.
 
Watertown collected ten hits.  Himmerich and Ries each had multiple hits for Watertown.
 
 
Post 400 Stars Grabs Lead in Sixth Inning to Defeat Watertown, SD (GAME 2)
 
Post 400 Stars defeated Watertown 6-5 on Saturday after taking the lead late in the game. Fargo trailed 5-4 in the top of the sixth inning when Chayton Senn singled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.
 
Watertown scored three runs in the first inning, but Post 400 still managed to pull out the victory.  The big inning for Watertown came thanks to walks by Easton Jurgens and Ryan Roby and a fielder's choice by Spencer Wientjes.
 
Watertown got things moving in the first inning, when Jurgens drew a walk, scoring one run.
 
Logan Sullivan was on the hill for Post 400. Sullivan allowed zero hits and three runs.
 
Kaden Rylance was on the pitcher's mound for Watertown. The pitcher surrendered five runs on four hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out six.  Jarome Binks threw one-third of an inning out of the bullpen.
Fargo racked up six hits in the game.  Andre Werk and Senn each managed multiple hits for the Stars.  Senn and Werk all had two hits to lead Post 400.
 
Watertown tallied five hits on the day.  Jack Heesch and Nathan Briggs all collected multiple hits for Watertown.
 
 
Post 400 Astros Takes 7-2 Victory Over Watertown (GAME 1)
 
Post 400 Astros 17U defeated Watertown, SD Junior Legion 7-2 on Saturday.
 
Watertown Junior Legion got things moving in the second inning, when an error scored one run for Watertown.
 
The Astros pulled away for good with four runs in the fourth inning.  In the fourth Calvin Jungling drew a walk, scoring one run, Eli Claus was hit by a pitch, driving in a run, Kane Mathiason drew a walk, scoring one run, and Gavin Jiskra's sac fly scored one run for Fargo.
 
Chase Lura was the winning pitcher for the Astros. The righthander allowed three hits and one run over four innings, striking out six.  Ethan Doll threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.
 
Nash Berg led things off on the pitcher's mound for Watertown. The hurler allowed two hits and three runs over three innings, striking out five.  Nathan Briggs and Chuck  Larson entered the game from the bullpen, throwing three innings and one inning respectively.
 
Cayden Neuharth led the Astros with two hits in three at bats.
 
 
Big Third Inning Propels The Astros to Victory Over Watertown (GAME 2)
 
The Astros scored ten runs in the third on its way to a 19-3 victory over Watertown, SD Junior Legion on Saturday.  The offensive onslaught came from singles by Kane Mathiason, Gus Werremeyer, Gavin Jiskra, Kaleb Blanchette, and Ethan Doll, an error on a ball put in play by Joe Gould and Calvin Jungling, by Coleston Senn, and a fielder's choice by Ashton Rinas.
 
Fargo got things moving in the first inning, when Jiskra was hit by a pitch, driving in a run.
 
The Astros scored ten runs in the third inning.  Senn, Mathiason, Werremeyer, Rinas, Jiskra, and Gould all drove in runs in the frame.
 
Eli Claus led things off on the hill for Post 400 Astros 17U. The righthander allowed five hits and three runs over three innings, striking out six.
 
400 collected ten hits on the day.  Doll, Blanchette, and Jiskra all managed multiple hits for Post 400 Astros 17U.  Doll went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Fargo.
