Post 400 Astros 17U wins contest against Brookings, SD Junior Legion, 7-4

Breck Wilson took the loss for Brookings Junior Legion. The pitcher surrendered six runs on 11 hits over five innings, striking out three and walking one.
Fargo saw the ball well today, racking up 13 hits in the game. Gus Werremeyer, Ashton Rinas, Neuharth, and Kade Ohlhauser all collected multiple hits for Post 400. Werremeyer went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Fargo in hits.
Late Score Costs Post 400 Astros Against Brookings Junior Legion
Fargo stayed in it until the end, but Brookings Junior Legion pulled away late in a 14-9 victory on Wednesday. The game was tied at eight with Brookings Junior Legion batting in the top of the sixth when Tyson Antonen doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
Fargo collected 11 hits and Brookings Junior Legion had 14 in the high-scoring affair.
The Astros opened up scoring in the first inning, when Cayden Neuharth singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
In the top of the fifth inning, Brookings Junior Legion tied things up at eight. Tane Freidrich grounded out, scoring one run.
Brookings scored five runs in the fifth inning. Jase Bauer, Jacob Peterson, and Freidrich each drove in runs during the inning.

Brady Hecker started the game for the Astros. Hecker went four innings, allowing three runs on seven hits, striking out seven and walking zero. Jackson Sturma, Coleston Senn, and Kade Ohlhauser each contributed in relief for Post 400.
