Post 400 Stars Drop Both to Mandan

Post 400 Stars Fall After Strong Showing By Mandan Legion
 
Post 400 Stars couldn't keep up with Mandan and fell 10-0 on Thursday.
 
Mandan opened the scoring in the third after an error scored one run.
 
Mandan scored three runs in the top of the fourth on a home run to left field by McCoy Keller.
 
Hudson Sheldon earned the win for Mandan Legion. They surrendered three hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out three and walking two. Jacob Topp took the loss for Fargo Post 400 Stars. They went one and two-thirds innings, surrendering six runs on two hits, striking out none and walking five. Jake Jaroszewski began the game for Fargo. The southpaw allowed one hit and one run (zero earned) over three innings, striking out three and walking five.
 
Caleb Christianson, Eli Mach, and Logan Sullivan each collected one hit for the Stars.
 
Keller led Mandan Legion with two hits in three at bats. Mandan Legion had patience at the plate, piling up 11 walks for the game. Sheldon, Keller, and Tate Olson led the team with two bases on balls each. Mandan Legion turned one double play in the game. Mandan Legion were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Seth Arenz made the most plays with four.


Post 400 Stars Defeated By Mandan

Fargo Post 400 Stars fell to Mandan Legion 7-2 on Friday.
 
A home run to left field by McCoy Keller put Mandan on the board in the top of the first.
 
Mandan Legion added one run in the second after Hudson Sheldon doubled.
 
Keller earned the win for Mandan Legion. They gave up two hits and one run (zero earned) over five innings, striking out two and walking three. Brady Hecker took the loss for Fargo. The starting pitcher went four and two-thirds innings, giving up seven runs (six earned) on eight hits, striking out three and walking five.
 
Jackson Amerman went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Post 400 Stars 18U in hits. Jack Demers led the team with one run batted in. Post 400 turned one double play in the game.
 
Sheldon, Keller, Seth Arenz, and Tukker Horner each collected two hits for Mandan. Keller provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Mandan Legion with four runs batted in. The pitcher went 2-for-4 on the day.
