Andre Werk Shows Power In Post 400 Stars Loss To Edina, MN

Andre Werk hit two home runs and drove in three, but Post 400 lost to Edina 15-7 on Sunday. Werk homered in the fourth and third innings.
 
Edina got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after McCoy singled, and Munson hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
 
Macintgre hit a solo home run to center field in the bottom of the second for the Edina.
 
Fargo Post 400 Stars captured the lead, 4-3, in the top of the third when Matthew Bryant hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Werk hit a solo home run to left field, and Gunnar Majerus doubled, scoring two runs.
 
Edina flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring 11 runs on seven hits to take a 14-4 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to center field by Curme that drove in three.
 
Post 400 Stars made the score 14-7 in the top of the fourth inning when Bryant grounded out, scoring one run, and Werk homered to center field, scoring two runs.
 
McGrain earned the win for Edina. The starting pitcher gave up nine hits and seven runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking one. Jackson Amerman started on the hill for the Stars. The righty gave up three hits and three runs over two innings, striking out one and walking one.
 
Fargo Post 400 piled up 10 hits in the game. Eli Mach, Majerus, and Werk each collected two hits for the Stars. Fargo turned one double play in the game.
 
Edina collected 14 hits in the game. Simonson went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Edina in hits. Curme provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Edina with five runs batted in. They went 2-for-4 on the day. Munson, Macintgre, McCoy, and Schmidt each collected multiple hits for Edina. Edina were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Pankratz had the most chances in the field with six.
